The Gardigo Marten Deterrent Mat is designed to put and end to to bustle in the engine bay. As martens have very sensitive paws, they dislike walking across the uneven surface of the mesh. This is turning your car into an unpleasant place for the animals without doing them any harm.
Lay out the mat in the carport, the garage or in a parking bay. Then park your car so that the engine bay is located over the mat.
When using the Marten Deterrent Mat on your own property you could anchor it to the ground by using tent pegs. Please be aware that the mat does not need to lie perfectly flat on the ground. An uneven surface would be ideal.

Etwas hart beim Auspacken, nach einiger Zeit wird es aber glatter. Unser Marder war danach nochmal da, aber schaden kann es auf jeden Fall nicht. Toll!

Ich hab das Mardergitter jetzt schon paar Wochen bin bis jetzt sehr zufrieden,kann es hin machen wo ich will bzw mein Auto steht. So gut!
Einfache Lösung
Ich parke meinen Wagen immer unter meinem Carport neben dem Haus, aber seit einiger Zeit ist mir die Hinterlassenschaft eines Marders Im Motorraum aufgefallen. Anfangs ist das vielleicht noch kein Problem, aber diese Tiere sind bekannt dafür Kabel anzuknabbern, das ist nervig und gefährlich. Da ich das verhindern wollte, dachte ich mir ich kann ja mal diese Matte ausprobieren. Ich habe sie unterm Carport ausgelegt und mit Steinnägeln befestigt und mein Auto darüber geparkt. Seit die Matte dort liegt hatte ich keine wirklichen Anzeichen mehr von dem Marder an meinem Auto entdeckt. Funktioniert somit super und einfach.
